What Is Sell?

Last updated on Jul 20, 2026

In a nutshell

Sell is the sale of already purchased shares before Event trading ends.

Sell allows you to close a position before the Event transitions from Active status to Waiting for the outcome or Resolved, without waiting for the confirmed result.

What Is Sell

A sale is an action through which you sell your shares back to the market.
When using Sell:

• you sell a position before Event trading ends;
• the result depends on current market assessment;
• calculation occurs at the moment of order execution.

Sell does not affect Event outcome and does not change its confirmation rules.

When Sell Can Be Used

Sell  is available:

• for already purchased shares;
• while the Event is in Active status.

❗ As soon as the Event transitions from Active status to Waiting for the outcome or Resolved, Sell becomes unavailable.

After this, the system awaits outcome confirmation and automatically calculates results for all remaining shares.

How Sell Works

When using Sell:

• a share sell order is created;
• the order is executed according to the selected order type rules;
• execution price depends on market offering.

For details on order types, see Order Types.

Sell Types

Sell can be executed in different ways, depending on the selected order type:

• Market Sell — selling shares at market offering;
• Limit Sell — selling shares with a specified price threshold;
• Sell via TP / SL — automatic sale when reaching a specified value.

In all cases, the same order execution rules apply.

Partial Sell

You can sell:

• all already purchased shares;
• only part of shares.

With partial Sell:

• remaining shares continue to participate in the Event;
• new Sell or TP / SL conditions can be set for them.

What Happens After Sell

After Sell execution:

• the result is fixed immediately;
• funds are credited to corresponding balances depending on the type of funds used when purchasing shares;
• further Event participation for sold shares ceases.

Fees apply only to positive results, in accordance with Fees & Payouts rules.

Limitations and Important Rules

• Sell does not guarantee sale at a specific price.

• Sell execution depends on market interest and demand.

• After placing a Sell order:

  • associated TP / SL are canceled;

  • the order can be canceled manually if not yet executed.

• Zanlo does not interfere in the market and does not control prices.

Important to Remember

• Sell is a sale at market assessment at the moment when the Event is still active.
• As soon as the Event transitions from Active to Waiting for the outcome or Resolved, all open Sell orders are canceled automatically.
• Sell price may differ from the last displayed value.
• Selling is not a guarantee of profit or risk reduction.
