Understanding Profit

Last updated on May 22, 2026

In a nutshell

Profit on the Zanlo platform occurs when your Pick matches the confirmed Event outcome, or when you sell your shares at a price higher than the purchase price.

All calculations are performed automatically and depend on the Event outcome and market dynamics.

What Is Profit on Zanlo

Profit is the difference between the sale price and purchase price of shares, or the difference between the final value of shares after Event completion and the purchase price.
Important to understand:

• profit is not guaranteed;
• the result depends on the Event outcome and other participants' actions;
• Zanlo does not predict or influence the outcome.

How Profit Is Formed

When you make a Pick, you lock in a position at a specified price or at market offering.
Two scenarios are possible:

  1. Event Concludes (Resolved)
If the outcome you chose is correct, each share receives a final value used to calculate the result.
If the outcome is incorrect, the share has no final value.

2. Sale Before Event Completion (Sell)

You can sell shares before the Event receives Resolved status.
In this case, the result depends on the difference between the purchase price and sale price.
For more details on selling, see Sell

Fees and Net Result

Fees are charged only on positive results.
Fee size may depend on user level and use of special conditions (e.g., Commission Free Picks).
If the result is negative, no fee is applied.
For more details, see Fees & Payouts and CFP (Commission Free Pick).

When Calculation Occurs

• When selling shares — the result is fixed at the moment of order execution.
• When Event concludes — calculation occurs automatically after outcome confirmation.

All data is displayed in Portfolio and in transaction history.

Where to View Your Results

You can track your results in several sections:

Portfolio — active and completed Events
Transaction History — fund movements
• Specific Event card

They display:

• purchase price,
• sale price (if applicable),
• final result.

Important to Remember

• Share price can change until Event completion.
• Profit is not fixed and is not guaranteed.
• The result depends on the actual Event outcome and market conditions, as well as participants' skills, analysis performed, and informed decisions.
• Zanlo Prediction Market is not a financial institution and does not provide investment recommendations.
